If you want to improve the lives of people affected by drug or alcohol misuse, you're in the right place. For over 40 years, we've been helping individuals and families cope with the challenges of addiction.
It all started with an article written by a mother in the Guardian, calling for other parents of drug addicts to pool their experiences and resources. The result? The founding of Addaction.
Today, we're a modern, £30 million UK charity. But though we've grown in strength, you'll find all 900 of us still have our original aims at heart – to work locally on a personal, one- to-one level, rather than find solutions for a national problem.
Of course, we influence the government where we can. But our priority is to get involved with the people who need us most. If you share our passion, then we'll give you the training, benefits and support to help others - and give you the best a career in social care can offer.
